Elliot Apland is the founder and managing member of MarbleRock Advisors. 

 

Prior to founding MarbleRock Advisors, Mr. Apland held the position of Physical Crude Oil Trader for Eighty-Eight Oil LLC based in Casper, WY. His responsibilities included the majority of Eighty-Eight's bulk physical trading, blending operations, tank farm business development, as well as commercial business operations surrounding a large crude oil unit train loading terminal and railcar fleet.

Prior to joining Eighty-Eight Oil, Mr. Apland held various positions with BNSF Railway in progressive operations and marketing/sales roles. While in marketing, Mr. Apland was responsible for sales, strategy, and forecasting of volumes and opportunities in the Rocky Mountain region shale oil plays.

Mr. Apland has been a member of the American Petroleum Institute Rail Policy Subcommittee since its inception in 2013 and currently represents API on the Association of American Railroads Tank Car Committee.

Mr. Apland holds an Accounting Degree (summa cum laude) and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Dakota.

Throughout his successful career, Mr. Apland has helped several companies earn hundreds of millions of dollars in profits and has solved numerous complex issues. In his spare time, Mr. Apland enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, wakesurfing, and riding motorcyles.
